Joyfully worshipping God through word and sacrament,
and serving our neighbors with love.

About Immanuel

Immanuel Lutheran Church (ELCA) is a neighborhood parish dedicated to serving God and neighbor.  Immanuel prides itself on its focused vision and warm and inviting atmosphere.  We offer refreshing worship services with relevant preaching and engaging music.  Our worship seeks to blend the best of old and new, Lutheran traditions and global influence.

As our congregation grows, so does our outreach to members and the community.  Immanuel is situated on Snelling Avenue near several colleges.  The congregation has embraced the college students, starting a group called "Avenues", specifically for young adults in their twenties.  Immanuel also has a Care Team Ministry to the homebound members of our congregation.

Immanuel has a community night every Wednesday, which includes dinner, bible study and many other activities.  Immanuel strives to provide a variety of ministry opportunities for all persons including social action and legislative awareness, service to the poor, a comprehensive music program (choir and handbells), fellowship circles, and much more.

Our congregation is committed to all generations at Immanuel, including the youth.  Immanuel provides excellent, meaningful activities and Christian education for all ages in a safe environment.  Youth have a representative on the Church Council.  They also participate on all committees, in the worship service and all major decisions within the church.

Immanuel is a member of the St. Paul Area Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
