Youth Ministry

Immanuel’s young people participate in many opportunities to grow in faith, serve those in need, and build relationships with each other and with members of the congregation.  The Youth Ministry committee stresses “fellowship, fundraising, service, and FUN,” engaging Immanuel’s youth in significant social service activities, faith-building projects and just plain fun things to do.  Youth Ministry serves young people in 7th through 12th grade.

By involving parents, young people, and the congregation in shared endeavors, such as the Silent Auction dinner and fundraiser, Easter breakfast, and Youth Sunday, the Youth Ministry committee works to strengthen intergenerational communication and understanding.  With the Youth Minister and the Pastors, the committee also works to sustain important connections in service with the wider community, encourages youth to incorporate faith into life, and through these efforts energizes the congregation.

Rounded Rectangular Callout: I love being involved in the Youth Ministry at Immanuel. Being with my friends, doing things together – it almost doesn’t even matter what we do because it’s all good.
The trip to San Antonio for the National Youth Gathering was really special. It was exciting to watch so many people getting involved and really into the experience. We had fun eating and having bible studies together, hearing good sermons, and I had a great time at the dances, too.
Our new space is really nice – we’re lucky to have such a great place to be together now that the construction is done.

If the Youth Ministries had additional resources to match the great new space, there are lots of new things they would imagine doing, such as:

Physical improvements –

Program improvements –
