Vision of Immanuel Lutheran Church

Values (qualities of our church community that we embody in all we do):
1. Service
2. Growth (in faith, exploration of the Word, transformation of self and community)
3. Grace
4. Love (welcoming, belonging, caring, connected)

Mission (the difference we are here in the world to make and for whom):

Immanuel Lutheran Church is a community
growing in Christ, saved by grace, and serving in love.

Ends (specific, measurable differences we will make and for whom):

Within (individuals)
The people of Immanuel sense God’s presence and direction in their lives.
They:
.  Ask questions to explore and deepen their faith;
.  Have an active prayer life in a multiple of forms;
.  Are able to put their faith into words;
.  Discern and live their vocation; and,
.  Accept themselves, and all others, as redeemed children of God.

Among (the congregation)
The people of Immanuel are engaged, energized, and supported.
They:
.  Engage in meaningful and fulfilling worship;
.  Discover, use, and acknowledge members’ gifts, talents, and interests;
.  Pray for and support each other, and,
.  Give generously of their time, talents, and finances.

Beyond (individuals and the congregation)
The people of Immanuel enable its neighbors, who live across the street, across the country, and around the world, to live fuller lives.
They:
.  Apply their faith to daily living;
.  Make outreach an expression of their faith;
.  Speak out for peace and justice;
.  Sustain and grow outreach partnerships; and,
.  Give generously of their time, talents, and finances.

Immanuel is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a member of the ELCA Saint Paul Area Synod.
