Lifelong Faith Formation

Adult 

• Adult Forum

Because we all need to grow in faith and understanding -- choose to attend Adult Forum.  The topics include current events, theological discussions, social issues, and more.  Speakers are brought in from throughout our community, including college/seminary professors, representatives from non-profit organizations, and Immanuel member experts.

Enjoy coffee, fellowship and study of the Word led by our Pastors.  Previous Bible Study experience is not necessary, all adults are welcome.

  

 

Senior High

• Sunday School
• 9:15-10:15am

 

High school students join in fellowship each week to learn and grow in faith, discuss current issues, and connect with one another.  Students have opportunities to do service projects, go out for breakfast together and attend retreats.

 

Junior High 

• Confirmation
• Wednesday
• 6:30-7:30pm

  

7^th & 8^th grade students meet with our Pastors and Youth Minister for Confirmation classes.  Through pastor-led study, discussion and activities we explore what it means to be people of faith.  Our materials are based on Luther’s Small Catechism, using modern teaching tools and insights relevant to the kids.  Our 9^th grade students have a year of one-on-one study with a mentor, participate in service projects, attend Sunday School, and work with a pastor to develop an individual credo which is presented at their confirmation.

At Sunday School, Jr. High students apply their ever-maturing outlook to the study of Scripture and its meaning for their daily life.  Students are challenged and encouraged through discussions about movies, music and current events.   

3 Years Old to 6th Grade

 Sunday School helps students learn how to be followers of Jesus.  Our study units include Discovering the Bible, Experiencing God, Becoming a Disciple, Celebrating Church and Embracing the World. 

 

Birth-Three Years Old

We send a monthly newsletter to parents of Birth to Three year olds.  It includes a music CD each year, and monthly  articles and tips about sharing faith with your young child.     

• Peaceable Kingdom Nursery
• Sunday 7:45-noon
• Wednesday 6-8:30pm
• 1st Thursday 6-8:30pm
• Other times upon request

 

The church Nursery provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for children ages 0-5. The Nursery is provided for little ones who are unable to sit through the entire service and are transitioning into family worship. It is also staffed during times that parents may like to participate in choirs, learning opportunities or meetings.
