Junior High (7th & 8th Grade)

Wednesdays, 6:45-7:45 p.m., Late Sept-Early May

Seventh- and eighth-graders meet with our confirmation instructor for confirmation classes. Through discussion, study, and activities, we explore what it means to be people of faith. Our materials are based on Luther’s Small Catechism, using modern teaching tools and insights. Seventh- and eighth-grade students attend Confirmation Camp at Bay Lake Camp.

Ninth Grade

Our ninth-grade students prepare for their affirmation of baptism through

  • One-on-one study with an adult mentor
  • Participating in service, justice and evangelism events
  • Expanded worship assistant roles
  • Attending senior high Sunday AM Youth Group
  • Writing sermon/worship notes
  • Attending a spring  retreat
  • Individual interviews with our senior pastor
  • Preparing a “Living Wet” Project to be presented to the congregation on Confirmation Sunday in May
