Knitting for Warmth

“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”  Mother Teresa

Join the knitters, crocheters and crafters of Immanuel Lutheran Church as we pursue our ministry to provide warmth to the homeless and needy of St. Paul.

We stitch hats, mittens and scarves to donate to Joseph’s Coat and the Dorothy Day Center.  Proceeds from items sold at the Lutefisk Dinner were donated toward shares in wool-bearing animals through Heifer International.

When:   Every 2nd Sunday of each month 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. October – May.

Where:  Immanuel Lutheran Church – West Lounge

Who:      Everyone is welcome. Knitters, crocheters and crafters of all faiths and skill level.

What to bring:  Your needles/crochet hooks and materials for your own project. Some yarn and patterns will be available.

Don’t know how to knit or crochet, but want to help?  To help support this program, Immanuel Lutheran Church will be collecting donations of full/whole skeins of worsted-weight yarn. Donations can be dropped off at the church in  the Knitting for Warmth basket located in the Gathering area.
