St Paul Area Synod - Looking for ELCA news closer to home? Here is the website for our local synod. ELCA World Hunger Project for Children - Hey Sunday School kids! Ever wonder where your offering goes each week? This year, the offering collected during Sunday School is going to help "open a world of possibility" by helping to alleviate world hunger. Check out the ELCA World Hunger Project to see what a difference you can make. Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in Minnesota - An organization governed by the ELCA Division of Church in Society whose mission is to educate, advocate, and network regarding public policy issues in Minnesota. Lutheran Social Services - one of Minnesota's largest, faith-based charities, LSS offers such services as: professional service through adoption, counseling, housing, debt counseling, crisis shelters for children, elderly assisted living, group homes for persons with developmental disabilities and many other services. Lutheran World Relief - a non-profit organization working in overseas development and relief on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Missouri Synod (LCMS). Thrivent Financial for Lutherans- Lutheran Brotherhood and Aid Association for Lutherans recently merged to form Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. This new partnership continues in the spirit of its past as a faith-based, member-owned financial services organization offering resources for financial education, charitable outreach, insurance, and investment products for Lutherans. Augsburg Fortress - The official publisher for the ELCA. They offer music, books, CD's, educational and worship materials. Green Lake Lutheran Ministries - Located in Spicer, Minnesota, Green Lake Bible Camp is where the youth attend Confirmation Camp each summer. Last February, they also hosted a family camp specifically for our church members (we are planning another retreat in January 2003)! Check out other opportunities offered by Green Lake, such as Women's Retreats, and other camp experiences. Whole Farm Co-Op - The Whole Farm Co-Operative represents over 30 farms right here in Minnesota. The Co-Op is committed to agricultural sustainability and the environment. All their animals are corn and grass fed, free of chemicals and antibiotics.
