Mkimbizi Lutheran Church of Tanzania
Bega kwa bega, “shoulder to shoulder” in Kiswahili, is a very important mission and benevolence program. Immanuel’s sister congregation, Mkimbizi, is located in the outskirts of Iringa, Tanzania. As partner congregations, Immanuel and Mkimbizi pray for each other, provide resources to help build the Mkimbizi church, and Immanuel members visit Mkimbizi, Immanuel is also involved in paying tuition for 24 secondary school students, and setting up a micro-bank and agriculture improvement project.
