Dorothy Day

The Dorothy Day Center, located in downtown Saint Paul, provides meals, food shelf and medical care for homeless and near-homeless individuals   in the Twin Cities metro area. The Center also provides emergency overnight shelter for people experiencing homelessness

Immanuel members contribute food and dollars and prepare a monthly meal at the Dorothy Day Center on the third Saturday of each month.  Unable to serve meals on Saturday?  We are also looking for people willing to bake cookies for the meal — they can be dropped off at the church and our coordinator will get them to the serving line.  Not a baker?  We also have a collection box in the church narthex (labeled “Loaves and Fishes”) for those who would like to make a financial contribution. For more information, or to volunteer to serve, contact Nancy Reidell, 651-338-1300.
