Dorothy Day

  • Immanuel members contribute food and dollars and prepare a monthly meal at the Dorothy Day Center on the third Saturday of each month.  Unable to serve meals on Saturday?  We are also looking for people willing to bake cookies for the meal -- they can be dropped off at the church and our coordinator will get them to the serving line.  Not a baker?  We also have a collection box in the church narthex (labeled "Loaves and Fishes") for those who would like to make a financial contribution.

Improvers

  • Members meet each Thursday between 9:00am and 10:00am to do small tasks, general repairs, and improve the look of the church building.

Immanuel Lutheran Church Foundation

  • The Foundation receives money as gifts, memorials or bequests, invests the money so its assets grow, and distributes a portion of its assets each year to community organizations whose work is consistent with Immanuel’s mission or, in special instances, for programs at Immanuel.  All  voting members of ILC are members of the Foundation.   A Board of Directors is elected to manage the affairs of the Foundation at an annual meeting.  Volunteers may be needed for occasional service on a special task force or work group.  The Foundation annual meeting is held immediately before the annual meeting of the congregation in January.  The Foundation Board meets quarterly, but not at a regularly scheduled time.  Decisions for funding projects or programs are made at the Board meeting in December.  Who to Contact:  Peggy Johnson, President, 651-298-0121;  Tara Mattessich, Vice President 651-698-7719; Shelly Rucks, Secretary-Treasurer, 651-298-8818
