Do you like to sing?

 Do those handbells intrigue you?

Do you play a band or orchestral instrument?

If so, you are needed in the Immanuel choirs!

There are opportunities for all at Immanuel! All levels of expertise are honored and welcome! Find the ensemble for you below!

The Preschool Choir meets Sunday mornings during Sunday School.

All are welcome!

Wednesday Children’s Choirs:

(These choirs rehearse every Wednesday from September to May.

Rehearsal times are below.)

Seraphim Ringers

The children’s bell choir for 3rd grade and up. We play in church every 4-6 weeks. Rehearsals: 4:30-5:15pm

Choristers

The children’s choir for K-6th grade. We help to lead Sunday morning worship every 4-6 weeks. Rehearsal: 5:15-6:00pm

Wednesday Adult Choirs

Jubilate Ringers

The bell choir for adults! The Jubilate Ringers play in worship once a month. Rehearsals: 6:15-7:25pm

Cantorei

The adult choir leads worship on most Sundays from September to May. The choir learns a very wide variety of choral repertoire of many different genres, and hymns and liturgy as needed to lead worship. Rehearsals: 7:30-9:00pm

Occasional Ensembles:

Worship Band

This is for youth and adults who play any instrument to have the chance to lead worship every six weeks! We lead the congregation in hymn-singing and liturgy but with a funky beat!

Brass

All you brass players, dust off your horns! The Immanuel Brass usually plays 4 times a year and is very low-key! Come blast away!

Flute Choir

Flutists of all levels are welcome to join! We play about 4 times a year and would love to have YOU come and toot!

Additional Music Ministry opportunities at Immanuel:

  • An Assisting Minister is one who helps lead Sunday worship services.  Anyone in Grade 9 or older is invited to consider being an Assisting Minister.  Training and rehearsal by the Pastors and Minister of Music are given to each Assisting Minister.
  • People who don't have time for weekly rehearsals are invited to be a part of "occasional choirs" that meet during the year.  Watch the newsletter and Sunday bulletins for information.
  • Anyone who has been studying an instrument or voice may consider being an instrumentalist or vocalist at Immanuel.  Many people have added their talents to our services, and others are always welcome.  Contact the one of the pastors to share your thoughts.

Other Items of Interest:

  • Immanuel is hosting the Youthful Voices Choir Camp for children entering grades 2 through 8 on July 26-30, 2010.
  • The Worship and Music Committee has developed an Arts Series featuring both Visual and Musical Arts of various styles. Check out these events and plan on attending these enriching programs!
  • A cassette recording of the Jubilate Ringers is available.  Selections include: You Have Come Down To The Lakeshore, What Child Is This? and more!  Cost is $10.00.  Contact the Church Office if you are interested in one.
